About The Event

We are excited to share and facilitate an Ecstatic Dance experience with our North Fork Valley Community!

Doors open at 5:30pm

Begining with a gentle 30 minute, warm-up ambient set where we can stretch and get comfortable moving around the space.

Ecstatic Dance set from 6:00 - 7:30pm

Featuring  special remote DJs and musicians Mose (Guatemala) and Janax Pacha (Argentina) who have provided us with a high quality recording of a previous live set.

Gong Bath from 7:30 - 8:30pm

After the dance we will lay down in a comfy nest (or on the floor) and Gong Master Brian Dickinson will intuitively guide a journey through sound with a variety of gongs, ancient bells, whistles, handpan, chimes, and more.  As we are immersed in the cosmic ocean of sound; these vibrations massage each cell of our body, calm our nervous systems, and allow us to easily reach a blissful state of relaxation.

It is recommended to bring water, a blanket, a pillow, and a yoga mat or pad of some sort to lay on after the dance.  There will be some blankets, pillows, and yoga mats available.   We encourage you to plan to arrive before 6pm and stay until just after 8pm to maintin the container and not interupt the space.

We are cultivating a respectful space where we want all to feel welcome and comfortable.  If you are not feeling well please stay home, send a message to Brian, and we will reimburse you for most of your ticket price (minus card processing fees).

Ecstatic Dance is a Freeform Conscious Dance. As soon as you enter the space, you are invited to let go of judgements and expectations, and allow yourself to feel you emotions, sensations, body, mind, and spirit. Because this is a safe space for movement and expression, we do request that you follow the three main guidelines:

We Dance Without Words

This makes it easier to be in a meditative state. No verbal instruction from the facilitators aside from a brief opening and closing circle. No talking from the dancers during the dance or gong bath

We Dance Barefoot

This allows us to connect more fully with the Ground (socks are OK) If you have a physical condition that you need dance shoes, then OK

We Dance As We Are

No Drugs/Alcohol, No Phones, No Camera/Video, No Scents, No Expectations, No Judgements, No Shoulds, No Oughts…  Just Be Yourself; With Respect for Ourselves, the Space, and One Another.

Many Dancers come to dance by themselves in the Group Field.  Some Dancers also enjoy dancing with others, with or without physical contact.  Below is a guide to help your experience at Ecstatic Dance.

  1. It is always a Good Idea to begin by Dancing with Yourself.  Feel into how you are doing in this moment, and in your Life in general.  Set an Intention for Yourself & for The World at Large at the beginning of the Dance.
  2. If you would like to Dance with someone else, please make sure they are able to Give their Consent to Dance with you before Touching them or entering their Field.  If you are not sure, or their eyes are closed, it is a No. Please respect any No, and try not to take it Personally.
  3. How to say “No” nonverbally?  Turn Away, Move Away, Hand(s) at Your Heart (prayer gesture)
  4. How to say “Yes” nonverbally? Turn Toward, Move Closer, Extend a Hand (open palm)

Esctatic Dance Set

This set was recorded on September 20th, 2021 to align with the full moon equinox energy. The set is totally improvised between Janax Pacha and Mose.  Mose had a collection of loops that make up the ingredients of the different tracks that we move through with the timing and weaving of these loops being totally improvised based on the energy of each unfolding moment.  They had no plan for which songs to explore and just did their best to tune in and listen to what wanted to come through. The island behind them is called Es Vedra and it has quite a mythology around it and a reputation for being one of the most potent vortex points on the earth. With the combination of all of these energies, this set was incredibly powerful for those few of us present for us.  Mose hopes that this journey offers something of meaning to you in your current process.
